General information on how your data is handled
we.CONECT Global Leaders GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. Collect, processing and using your personal details is part of our service offer, as our aim is to provide user-friendly and customer-oriented services. The following information describes what information we collect from you and how we handle it. As a matter of principle we act in terms of the German Data Protection Act.
What data is collected?
As a matter of principle you can visit our website without disclosing your personal data to us. However we require you to register for certain services on our website, when we will ask for details such as your name and e-mail address. This data is called inventory data. Whenever possible we give you the opportunity to decide whether you want to disclose your data to us. However sometimes data is collected automatically. For example your computer automatically sends us information such as IP address, browser type or access times, when you use our website. This data is called usage data.
Inventory data
(1) Your personal data, insofar as these are necessary for this contractual relationship (inventory data) in terms of its establishment, organization of content and modifications, are used exclusively for fulfilling the contract. For goods to be delivered, for instance, your name and address must be relayed to the supplier of the goods.
(2) Without your explicit consent or a legal basis, your personal data are not passed on to third parties outside the scope of fulfilling this contract. After completion of the contract, your data are blocked against further use. After expiry of deadlines as per tax-related and commercial regulations, these data are deleted unless you have expressly consented to their further use.
Web analysis with Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (Google). Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. text files stored on your computer to enable analysis of website usage by you. Information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. In case of activated IP anonymization on this website, however, your IP address is previously truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states which are party to the agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is a full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “anonymizeIP()”, IP addresses being truncated before further processing in order to rule out direct associations to persons.

Information about cookies
“Cookies” are files deposited on your computer while you are visiting our website, and which your browser “memorises”. Cookies can be blocked by your browser so that, for example, only the page which has set them is permitted to read them. What does we.CONECT use your data for?
We use cookies for the distribution of advertising and for counting page visits in particular. In addition we can create pseudonymised usage profiles for the purposes of advertising, market- or opinion research or for designing our services to be tailored to market requirements. This enables us to examine our services for popularity and to continuously improve them. You are entitled to object to this usage at all times. In this case we ask you also to deactivate the cookies in your browser. We need your approval for further utilisation. Furthermore, we use anonymised utilisation statistics to illustrate our services to potential partners, advertising clients and other dialogue partners. Subject to your consent, we use your data for advertising purposes. You may revoke this consent at any time, which we point out to you when we contact you regarding advertising.
Does we.CONECT pass your data on to third parties?
We only pass your data on to companies to such clients of we.CONECT whose services you have viewed (e.g. the White Paper of a certain manufacturer) with your consent. When viewing the service you will recognise the company in question and will be able to decide whether you want to download this third party offer or not. This data is passed on for purposes of advertising and market- or opinion research only.
Social plug-ins from Facebook
We use social plug-ins from facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. The plug-ins can be recognized by way of the Facebook logo or the supplement “Facebook Social Plug-in”. For example, if you click on the “Like” button or leave a comment, the relevant information is transmitted directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there. Furthermore, Facebook makes your likes public for your Facebook friends. If you are logged into Facebook, it can assign the invocation of our page directly to your Facebook account. Even if you are not logged in or don’t have a Facebook account, your browser sends information (e.g. which web pages you have called up, your IP address) which is then stored by Facebook. If you use Retweet, the websites visited by you are announced to third parties and associated with your Twitter account.
